No doubt that men are fascinating creatures, real men are anyway. They are so few and far in between. Everyone has their own idea of what makes a real man, and definitely what qualities make him sexy. In my mind, I always thought of his personality moreso than the right guy’s looks, believe it or not. I always wanted a sincere, honest, loyal, kind, sweet, intelligent, funny, determined man who wasn’t afraid to pursue his dreams and always put home first. In today’s modern times, this type of guy is more like a fairy tale. Little did I know, that I would find my prince charming in the least likely of places at a time when I had little faith in true love. You wouldn’t think that working at a lame major retail chain would lead you to the man of your dreams, but love knows no bounds. What matters most is whether this is a true man you’re dealing with. Nothing is perfect, relationships are hard, and happiness isn’t a constant certain thing. If you have someone that will be honest, faithful, and constantly by your side when the times are difficult and everything is as unperfect as it could possibly be, then you have found a real man and that is the sexiest kind of guy on the entire earth.

The word sexy is defined by many sources as “Having sexual appeal; suggestive of sex; Very attractive or appealing, voluptuously sensual in appearance or behavior.” No matter where you go, everyone you run into is going to have a totally different explanation or view on what they think is sexy. This is especially true when it comes to opinions on what characteristics make a woman sexy. Society does have the same old typical ideals which it pushes upon females of the rail thin blonde bombshell, with a washboard tummy, and unrealistically huge breasts. These images are so fake, in fact, that anyone would know that they are either graphically engineered, or carved out in the very best plastic surgeon’s office. To believe that every woman should look that way is also another widely generated mass trickery. Variety as they say is the spice of life.
So what exactly is a general idea of sexy? Well, in my research most men have said that the ”right attitude” the female has about herself makes up a big part of her being sexually attractive. In many studies, when viewing a woman walking with her head held high indicative of a self-assurance, men almost always said that the woman was very attractive. What this tells me is that women as a whole need to be more confidant and strong.
So when you walk past the guy you have a crush on, walk by with your head held high and watch where you’re going. Odds are that he’s probably checking you out, and finding your self-esteem to be a big turn on. Don’t be afraid to flex your attitude muscle, guys like being bossed around to some degree. At least, in a friendly way. That doesn’t mean you should start beating him up and body slamming him so as to embarrass the hell out of him in front of his friends. A sexy attitude is a good ice breaker though. It shouldn’t be just something you use to get a guy’s attention. Confidence is something you should use and make a part of who you are each day, and that in itself is sexy.

Where female sexuality stands in today’s “modern” society can be pretty confusing for anyone, especially women. Young females growing into adulthood are given two totally contrasting ideas of what their sexuality (or lack thereof) should and should not be. Between parents, schools, religious authorities, and the media it’s no wonder that women have the insecurities and confusion that they do. In retrospect, I now understand why it was so hard growing up in such a man’s world. Humankind professes to be so much more progressive than they were even five years ago, yet females in society are still fed the “Do as I say, not as I do.” dull that they were centuries ago.
When young girls hear sexual education related talk, they are told about abstinence and what supposed views society will place on them for expressing their sexuality in any way other than what is deemed as acceptable. What are we teaching young women, however, if we tell them to close their minds to what is normal in experiencing feelings of a sexual nature then cramming images of sexed up celebrities and tv shows down their throats? The masses worship these famous people that range in age from tweens to adults, who dress in barely there clothing and party harder than any blood thirsty sailor. So why do we have to wonder what is going on with teen pregnancy and ill morals?
Honestly, I believe that boys and girls should be taught the same way when it comes to sexual education and morals. Females are just as sexual as males at any age. It is time for society to cease denying the power of female sexuality. Young girls and boys have been scientifically proven to go into puberty earlier and earlier over time. There’s no reason to attempt to stifle something that is biologically going to happen as a part of human nature. I’m not saying that we should encourage young females to be sexual. I think that we should teach female AND male sexuality along with sexual education. We should not expect young adults to just figure it out without understanding the process, and to be responsible with their new found adulthood.
Males and females should both be expected to have morals, exercise their sexuality, and do it responsibly. Females shouldn’t be portrayed as merely sexual objects for men in society, especially when young women are being taught that they should have no such sexuality in the first place. Humans, whether male or female, should be taught to respect one another and that sexuality should be expressed responsibly. Furthermore, males should be taught that females are to be respected and loved just as they are. Young males should have the same values expressed that, waiting for a sexual experience is your choice but is best left for later on in a relationship with a girl they really care for. Young women should be taught more self esteem and value in society.
